ANZAC Day BBQ – Supporting Our Veterans and Their Families

On Anzac Day 2026, the Lions Club of Brisbane Camp Hill Carindale once again provided a BBQ at Bulimba Park, in support of the local RSL’s Anzac Day commemorations.

Our Lions members and volunteers cooked sausages and invited the community to make a donation in return. It’s a simple way to bring people together on this important day of remembrance while raising funds for a worthwhile cause.

All profits from the day, $1,500, are donated to Legacy Brisbane, helping support the families of veterans who have lost their lives or suffered injuries and illnesses as a result of their service. Legacy Brisbane supports 3,919 family members of fallen and injured veterans across south-east, central and western Queensland (figure from Legacy Brisbane, April 2026).

We are proud to support this important work and to play a small part in ensuring that the families of those who have served our country are not forgotten.

Through community support and the generosity of those attending the ANZAC Day service, our annual BBQ is another example of Lions putting our motto, “We Serve,” into action.

Lest We Forget.
