On Monday 26 January 2026, our club hosted its annual community citizenship ceremony at the Belmont Services Bowl Club in Carina, welcoming 48 new Australians. Cr Ryan Murphy presided over the ceremony.
Family and friends joined the new citizens for the pledge, the National Anthem and the presentation of certificates. Belmont Scouts took part in the flag ceremony, and our Lions volunteers helped on the day.
We have held a citizenship ceremony every Australia Day since 2000. Congratulations to everyone who became an Australian citizen, and thank you to all who helped make the day special.
