Lions Club of Ekibin Celebrates 60 Years of Service

On Saturday 24 October, Lion Carl Miller represented the Lions Club of Brisbane Camp Hill Carindale at the Lions Club of Ekibin’s 60th anniversary dinner.

Reaching 60 years of service is a remarkable achievement, and the Ekibin club marked it in style. The room was decorated in black and white, with balloons, striped table runners and paper pom-poms overhead. Banners and memorabilia from the club’s long history were on display around the room, a reminder of the many projects and friendships built over the decades.

Guests enjoyed a two-course dinner followed by cupcakes for dessert. The menu carried a message of thanks to everyone who came to celebrate and support “the club that supports your community”. The evening closed with the Lions motto, Together We Serve • Together We Celebrate, which suited the occasion well.

It was a pleasure for our club to be part of the celebrations. Lions clubs depend on the goodwill and friendship between clubs, and events like this show what dedicated volunteers can achieve over time.

Congratulations to the Lions Club of Ekibin on 60 years of service to the community. We wish them every success for the years ahead.

I can add a line about the speeches, presentations or special guests if you’d like. I haven’t named anyone else in the photos, so feel free to tell me who to mention. I can also shorten the Facebook post or change its tone.
