The Lions Club of Brisbane Camp Hill Carindale is proud to support the young leaders of the Moreton Bay Boys’ College Leo Club as they continue to develop their leadership skills and serve their community.
On Thursday, Lion Kerry Kilpatrick and Lion John Wearne had the pleasure of attending an assembly at Moreton Bay Boys’ College to acknowledge the fantastic work the Leos have accomplished throughout the year.
During the assembly, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the outgoing Leo executive in recognition of their dedication, commitment and contribution to the club’s activities and community service.
The occasion also marked the introduction of the incoming Leo executive, who will take on the responsibility of leading the club into the next chapter of its service journey.
A Special Family Connection
The assembly held particular significance for Lion John Wearne, one of the founding members of the Moreton Bay Boys’ College Leo Club. The incoming Leo President, Henry, is John’s grandson!
It was a wonderful moment to see the values of leadership, volunteering and community service continuing into the next generation — a fitting example of the lasting impact of the Leo program.
Looking Ahead
Congratulations to the outgoing executive on a successful year and thank you for the time and effort you have contributed to the College and the wider community.
We also extend our best wishes to Henry and the incoming executive team as they begin their leadership journey. We look forward to seeing their ideas, enthusiasm and commitment translate into many more worthwhile projects and acts of service.
The Leo program provides young people with opportunities to develop confidence, teamwork and leadership while making a positive difference in the lives of others.
As the sponsoring club, the Lions Club of Brisbane Camp Hill Carindale is delighted to continue supporting the Moreton Bay Boys’ College Leos as they learn, lead and serve.
Congratulations to all our Leos — the future of community service is in good hands!
We Serve.
